The pupil that I decide to write my paper on is one who has traumatic brain injury because he did not getting enough oxygen when he was born. There was a decrease of the blood that flowed to his head during birth. Now because this happened the student suffered from epilepsy and often had seizures. This would affect the student through the rest of his life. Cognitive structuring retraining and psychosocial rehabilitation is what you want to reach for as far as the student is concerned. There are many of the students who have traumatic brain injuries who will suffer with cognitive, psychosocial, and physical deficits that will keep them from learning the way that they should. When the pupil starts school he will be inadequate when it come to cognitive and also psychosocial behaviors.
The functional behavioral assessment was done to look at and also treat the inadequencies that are related to the TBI. We have to mainly look at where the student is taught and how it directly affects the way they learn in school. This would include when there were strangers in the room. Now to have assessment done their must be an antecedent, behavior, and also consequence. The events have to always have documents that show the behavior before and after the inappropriate behavior. To increase the deficit, the student has to meet with the principal at least twice a week. When time goes on the student will be allowed to talk to the principal and let them know how good they know the individuals. Every time they go to the office they will tell the teacher who the teacher office worker or principal is. Before this happens the instructor will tell the student each person’s name. After a little while the student will be able to recognize the person’s name and identify it with the face.
To improve cognitive inadequacies, there may be psychological skills which would include attention, perception, memory and language skills.
