Congratulations! You made it through the first interview and now you have gotten a call back for a second job interview. Many people think that the second interview is structured the same as the first, but that is far from the truth. The questions in the second interview are much more intense and in depth.
Getting a second job interview is very exciting but also nerve wracking. You will know in the back of your mind that after your interview they will be deciding whether or not to hire you for the position. That is why it is more important than ever to now add on to the research that you prepared prior to your first interview. Make sure that you:
o Review the information that has already been given to you , such as the name and position title of the person who will be interviewing you
o Have your completed and professional resume
o Know the background and history of the company you are applying with
o Understand the expectations and attributes of the position you are applying for
o Have personal short term and long term goals set for yourself
It is very important to ask any and all questions that you thought of after the first interview during your second job interview. It will also be advantageous to make sure you mention anything about yourself that you may have forgotten to mention during the first interview.
Don’t forget to dress appropriately for the second job interview. Not dressing in a professional manner can blow your chances of getting the job. For women, make sure you wear a pant suit with matching accessories. For men, make sure you wear dark colored dress trousers, a white dress shirt, conservative tie, and sport coat or jacket with your belt and shoes matching each other.
